Johannes Hoff Thorup says that there is a late call to be made on the fitness of José Córdoba ahead of Hull City's visit to Carrow Road.
The Panama international was withdrawn with injury during the midweek draw with Leeds United but may still be available after positive scans.
"Better than expected, most likely to be in the squad for tomorrow but it'll be a late call," the head coach said.
"There's a decision to be made, we'll see tomorrow whether we'll play him. That (international duty) is a call for after the game."
He also offered an update on Ashley Barnes who continues his recovery from an Achilles injury picked up at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
"I don't think surgery but the boot will rest his Achilles for three weeks, I think we're in week two. After that, we hope he will start to feel better.
"It's never easy to be out, no matter what he does, he'll feel a little outside the team. You're not involved in the fun parts, but he's a good guy, he's always around trying to support his team-mates and we involve him as much as possible."
It's a third game in seven days for City this weekend, but the Dane feels that they used the time in between fixtures well.
"Tuesday took a lot out of us. We've had a day more in between compared to the Derby and Leeds games. I think we've used the time well, but like I said to the guys, expect there to be changes in the game, earlier substitutions.
"The load is more mental these days, we don't want to feed them with information all day long but the most important information. That's how it is, they're used to it. There's a great energy around the group at the moment."
Tim Walter brings his Hull City side to NR1 chasing a fourth league win in a row.
The Tigers sit a single position above Norwich in the league table, with the same record bar conceding a goal less.
"Three wins in a row, in form. I think they've done well, it's one of the games that'll be different this season. They're built in a different way to other teams, a lot of rotations, a lot of movement, it will take a lot of concentration," Hoff Thorup added.
"We are getting better and better, our high pressing this season has been good. We spoke after Leeds how we can still take more initiative without the ball. That takes a lot of focus and a lot of awareness.
"It's an important one, at home again. We want to give the fans an experience, a win, a great performance. It gives us a good lead in to the next block."
