Adam Idah's return from injury has taken a set-back, Dean Smith confirmed in his pre-Burnley press conference on Thursday.
Head coach Dean Smith said: "The team news is not too different from the last game, with the only exception being Adam, as his knee is still swelling up. He had to have some exploratory surgery, that will put him out for a number of weeks."
When asked about the left-back situation in the camp, he said: "Dimi is out of his boot, but Lungi and Sam aren't. Sam is still walking on crutches. Dimi is likely to come back the quickest."
This morning the club announced that Dean Smith had been nominated as Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month. He commented that "it's a team effort and there are a lot of people who have worked with me to help the team to get to where we are.
"It's nice to be recommended but the focus is winning football games. Whoever gets it deserves it."
When asked about the transfer rumours surrounding Milot Rashica, Smith responded: "If a good deal comes in for both player and club then we'd look at it and this is one that is.
"Milot has not been playing and this potentially gives him the chance to go and play at a really good football club. It's a deal that is good for the club and will keep him playing.
"I'll be in touch with him, like we are with Christos."
City travel to Turf Moor next to take on fifth-placed Burnley in a Friday night kick off at 8pm.
He said: "Burnley have had to make a lot of changes in their squad. This will be the biggest test of the season so far.
"The Premier league is a different beast altogether and this season they've played a lot more expansive football and been rewarded for it. It'll be an interesting season.
"They're the home team, anyone at home will have to ask questions of you. We saw that at Sunderland.
"Turf Moor is a tough place to go, we all know that, but we've been to Sunderland, Birmingham already. We've got around 668 supporters going up at the minute for the 8pm kick-off."
