Norwich City midfielder Billy Gilmour could miss up to four weeks of action with an ankle injury, head coach Dean Smith revealed at his pre-West Ham United press conference on Tuesday morning.
Gilmour picked up the injury in training last week and was forced to miss City's FA Cup win over Charlton Athletic at the weekend.
The on-loan Chelsea midfielder has returned to his parent club for an assessment and is expected to return to the Lotus Training Centre in the coming days to begin his recovery.
Elsewhere, the City head coach offered a positive update on Mathias Normann, revealing that the Norwegian international midfielder's recovery is moving along well.
However, Lukas Rupp, Andrew Omobamidele and Christoph Zimmermann still remain sidelined, but there are no fresh injuries from the weekend.
Milot Rashica and Grant Hanley, who both came back for the game at The Valley, came through their return well.
Todd Cantwell, who was absent on Sunday through illness, is expected to train on Tuesday with a view to being the squad for Wednesday's trip to West Ham.
