Isaac Hayden’s return from injury is coming along well, Dean Smith confirmed in his pre-Birmingham City press conference on Monday.
“There are no ill effects from his surgery,” he said.
As for Liam Gibbs, who came off in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Sunderland, Smith said he is seeing a specialist but it “isn’t as bad as we feared at first glance.”
Sam Byram came through the game okay, and Smith joked: “he’s been asleep in the cryo chamber for the last three days!”
