Norwich City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup confirmed that Marcelino Núñez will miss Saturday's trip to face Hull City in the Sky Bet Championship.
The head coach also confirmed that Kenny McLean is a doubt for the trip to the MKM Stadium, while Emiliano Marcondes will also be unavailable.
"Emi is the same, so we have to give him rest. Kenny was added to the list. He's had pain breathing in the warm-up, but it's a doubt whether he can play or not. We'll do some different tests.
"Marcelino is quite swollen. We took him for a scan and he was a bit emotional, which created some concern for us. The scan was okay and it's not broken. Saturday is too soon for him but it's all about resting and hopefully it will be okay for him in a few days.
"He (Onel Hernández) started to train for the first time today, but only light. He's not been with us for a couple of weeks and only light.
"With (Amankwah) Forson, it will be 2-3 weeks before he's back training and another week before he's ready for game-time. (Gabe) Forsyth will have his third and hopefully final injection this week."
Hoff Thorup also spoke about Saturday's opponents, Hull, as well as highlighting former Canary Abu Kamara.
"They've made some incredible results, but then they can lose the next game. It's a tricky one, they're down to find their way of playing and that doesn't change game to game. They're consistent with their press and they'll come out strong.
"A good solid build-up game will be important for us. Our pressing game needs to be good as well. It's another classy Championship game.
"I think he's a good player, the plan was to keep him here in the summer. He had the wish to move on. He's a great dribbler and has great vision for his teammates. Everyone wants him to succeed. A credit to him that's he's in the team and he's taken that step."
