Summer signing Gabriel Sara could be in contention to feature in Saturday’s opening game of the Sky Bet Championship season at Cardiff City.
Late calls will be made on the availability of Sara and Kieran Dowell, after both trained with the Norwich City first team squad this week.
Dean Smith also confirmed in his pre-Cardiff press conference on Friday morning that Sam Byram and Ben Gibson will not feature on the weekend, but will train fully next week.
Isaac Hayden has had his knee cleaned out but won’t be available for this weekend’s game.
Tony Springett is also unavailable, having rolled his ankle.
Grant Hanley has trained the last few days and is fine for the weekend.
