Norwich City head coach Philippe Clement confirmed that a full assessment on Jovon Makama and Papa Amadou Diallo's injuries was still to come following Saturday's win over Blackburn.
Diallo was withdrawn following the warm-up while Makama had to be replaced early in the second half at Carrow Road.
"I want to be open and clear and I don't like to guess about things; the game was only Saturday," Clement said.
"Sundays are really difficult to reach all the people to make good assessments, I prefer to say the right things than to guess.
"I would prefer to speak about the game and not too much about injuries; if I have more information after the game I will give it."
The head coach confirmed that Matěj Jurásek would not need surgery: "We have had confirmation that it's a bone stress and not a fracture, so that's positive, he will be out around nine to 10 weeks.
"It's now about preventing less pressure on the bone for the bone to heal."
Reflecting on the 2-0 win at Carrow Road last weekend, Clement said: "I was not happy with the start of our game.
"It was too slow and too sloppy, we didn't create enough in the first half, the last-minute changes because of injury to Papa were not ideal. That maybe didn't help.
"The second half was better and the energy from the guys off the bench helped the team.
"It was the first minutes for Sam (Field) and Mo (Touré), it's been a really short time in the building and they stepped into the team like they've been here much longer. So, those are also really positive things.
"We're going to go with a big squad to Oxford to make the right decision; I don't know who is going to start."
Another clean sheet on Saturday sparked a conversation on City's defence and how they have improved under Clement since his arrival.
"I think its a very good win, to win 2-0 against Blackburn, we definitively played a very strong game against them, where I don't think there was even a shot on target.
"That's really important to have as a team, good organisation.
"I'm really happy with how Ben Chrisene is playing, I still see a lot of potential to make him better but he's doing a really good job at the moment.
"I want to keep it that way and I want to push him to change his boundaries, not only physically but also tactically and mentally to become a really tough player in that position. He has potential to become a Premier League full-back.
"Ruairi (McConville) and José (Córdoba) are doing really well but Harry (Darling) and Jakov (Medić) are doing really well in the training sessions, so that's important to keep an eye on."
After a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture against Oxford United, Clement discussed the approach for Tuesday night's away fixture.
"They're fifth in the league for expected goals against, so they're really solid.
"To keep it 0-0 against Coventry, we know we need to break open the wall tomorrow and see that we don't run into the knife.
"It will be a totally different game, I think Oxford will play different with their new manager.
"For me, we played a really good game (at Carrow Road) and then there was one scrappy ball in the box that they scored out of.
"They're strong in those areas, I've seen in all the data they are good at getting people in the box, so that has been a good lesson for the team.
"It will be a different game with the surface but like i said before, no excuses about that."
