Kenny McLean is eligible to play in Norwich City's home fixture with Queen's Park Rangers in the Sky Bet Championship on Sunday (December 29) having completed a four-game suspension.

The City midfielder missed the Canaries' games against Portsmouth, Burnley, Sunderland and Millwall, but is set to return to action on Sunday at Carrow Road.

Head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup suggested in his post-match comments that there were no new injuries sustained in Norwich City's Boxing Day win against Millwall, including Marcelino Núñez and Ben Chrisene who were both subsituted.

"Núñez (substitution) was planned even though he wanted to stay in. He felt ok, he didn't feel anything and wanted to stay on but we need him for the game on Sunday and we cannot take any risks.

"Ben was fatigue, he was tired. His first start in four or five games so not used to playing 90 minutes."

The Dane also listed some players who will not be available as they work towards their respective injury returns: "Fasi (Christian Fassnacht) will still be out for a handful of weeks, (Liam) Gibbs the same and Josh (Sargent) the same but probably Lungi (Jacob Sørensen) can be back, he's been ill the last couple of days so there's a chance he can be in the squad."

City returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Millwall on Boxing Day thanks to Emi Marcondes' opener and a first Norwich City goal for Oscar Schwartau.

Free drink offer for QPR game

Home fans are once again invited to enjoy a free drink on the club at Sunday's game as a thank you for their support in 2024.

Supporters will need to arrive at least 45 minutes before kick-off to claim their free alcoholic, hot or soft drink - vouchers will be distributed at the turnstiles by members of staff and these can be redeemed up until kick-off.
