Head coach Dean Smith spoke to the media ahead of Norwich City's trip to Reading on Tuesday, October 4.
Reflecting on the win against Blackpool, Smith said: "It was a really good result. Lots of things we can do better but ultimately got what we set out to do. Nice to get a clean sheet as well. We could see how happy the supporters were.
"We could have been better in our build but we pressed them really well. We won the ball back in good areas. When we got into the Blackpool half, we were very good but we need to keep the ball for a lot longer than we do."
While there are no fresh injury concerns ahead of Tuesday's game, Smith provided further updates on some of the squad.
"Dimi's (Giannoulis) back on the grass but not training with us. Isaac (Hayden) is back running now after a 10-day rest period.
"We have to remember that he had an operation last season, he trained for the last six weeks of last season with Newcastle. He came in and trained with us and his knee started swelling up. It's frustrating for everybody, none more so than Isaac.
"He's a clever lad, very intuitive. He talks to us about the game, the different instances and what happened, he's someone we look forward to working it. He won't be too far away."
With Reading now up to third in the table, the clash presents the Yellows with a chance to put five points between them and the playoff spots.
However, Paul Ince's side are in strong form on home turf.
"I've watched a couple of their games already. Our analysts have done a presentation on them as well so we've got a good feel for what they're about," he added.
"Reading are a danger from set-pieces. A big, strong team. They've been good but they've been hit at times, 4-0 at Rotherham, 4-0 at Sheffield United but their home record has been very good.
"We've got a hell of a lot of players with experience in this league, at this football club and being successful in it. Their job is enabling the others to do that."
