Norwich City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup gave insight into the latest squad injuries and availabilities, as well as his thoughts on Borja Sainz's suspension.
On Borja Sainz's FA charge and suspension, he said: "It's a lot of games, it's probably how it is, when you behave like that you have to expect that you will be suspended.
"This is probably his best season ever as a player and that comes with a bigger responsibility, a different approach to him from an opposition perspective and it's fair to say it's probably been too much for him to deal with it.
"I cannot reassure that things like that will not happen again, we are human beings affected by emotions, Saturday's emotion was shown in a fantastic way.
"It's just important that we, of course, address it and that we talk about it as a club and as a team and Borja also admitted to the group of players that it was disrespectful and the last thing he wanted was to hurt the team and that was exactly what he did.
"I've seen too many incidents in the league where I didn't see a charge but you will never hear me say that (the actions) are acceptable."
On the highly anticipated return of City forward Josh Sargent, Hoff Thorup said: "The plan is still for him to get minutes this weekend, still not too many minutes but he is training with the team, has been training all week and he is expected to be back with the group again.
"He will be around the team tomorrow and then based around the game tomorrow. We might bring him on for the last 15 minutes.
"Knowing him as a person and his physical level I think we can expect quite a performance from the start, the sharpness and small details of the game will take some time."
The head coach then gave an update on other injuries and availability around the squad.
"Gabe Forsyth had an injection last week and is still recovering, it's too soon to decide a return to play date. He's had a little bit of a set back.
"(Jacob) Sørensen is still a couple of weeks away.
"We need to be very careful with (Liam) Gibbs because it's the third time now where there is something going on, we just have to do everything as good as possible to create the perfect plan for him but it's too early to decide a return to play date."
With the transfer window open, Hoff Thorup was asked about incomings, specifically loanee Anis Ben Slimane, as well as the return of Vicente Reyes and Ken Aboh.
"We are looking at bringing Anis in as a part of the group on a longer contract; when you have the option to do that it gives the player some clarity on what he can expect in his career and leads to even better performance and integration. That's part of our thinking.
"We always need at least three goalkeepers around and it's about time that Archie Mair gets out there to get some game minutes, it's realistic that we can expect to find a club for Archie on loan. That's why we have recalled Vicente.
"Ken (Aboh) didn't get too much game time at Stevenage, so we had to call him back to find another place where he can get minutes."
Carrow Road plays host to Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion in round three of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.
"It will be a very good test, it's a game where something is at stake and I'm really excited to see where we are as a team.
"There will be moments where we have to work really hard but hopefully there will also be moments where we can show how good we are.
"They have a lot of good players and have done well for many years now, we are really looking forward to it."
