Norwich City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup confirmed Callum Doyle and Jacob Sørensen will be back in the squad for tomorrow’s game against Portsmouth in the Sky Bet Championship.
He reported that there are no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game and provided an update on the players who are awaiting their return to the squad.
"No new issues. Positives on Lungi (Sørensen), who can join the matchday squad. He's an option for us, he's been in training. Callum Doyle is available, but not as a starter. That would be too much for him," Hoff Thorup said.
“(Ante) Crnac wont be available for Friday and we will have to wait and see for Monday. Matěj Jurásek could be integrated for the Millwall game, so there's been positives for him this week. He’s been in training all week.
“Onel (Hernández) is available and has been with the group all week. There’s been a good discussion around what we can expect. We’re here to support him.”
The head coach also gave an insight into how the team have been preparing for tomorrow’s opponents Portsmouth, with City also having a game on Monday against Millwall.
“I think they (Portsmouth) have an aggressive side in moments in the game, they’ll be pressing. We have to play with confidence. We know they have a direct threat in play and we have to be prepared for it.
“Substitutes tomorrow will not be because we want to but because we’re thinking again about playing on Monday. If we could start them for 46 Championship games then we would, but we have to protect them and get the best out of them.”
