Norwich City head coach Philippe Clement revealed that Jovon Makama picked up a knock on Boxing Day and will have to be assessed ahead of Monday's fixture at home to Watford in the Sky Bet Championship.
"Jovon suffered a big kick, I won't say where, but will have to assess him tomorrow to see if he is ready for the game or not."
The head coach gave further updates on other injuries across the squad, including Josh Sargent, who was absent from Friday's game against Charlton Athletic.
"Josh has been training; he felt well and looked well and he will be available for selection tomorrow night.
"Liam Gibbs is available; it's not like pre-season where we can swap around the squad and give everyone a few minutes.
"The season is on now but he has been training well now; he is not available to play 90 minutes, but that is normal after coming back from injury.
"The more players and talent available, the better; it was important to make rotation in the squad with the four games in 10 days."
Clement also confirmed that Shane Duffy does not require surgery and that Papa Amadou Diallo is on track to return in January, making good progress.
On a handful of other players highlighted in the press conference, Clement was full of praise for Ruairi McConville and Kellen Fisher.
"I told you from the beginning that if someone is 17 or 37, it's about what they show on the pitch.
"Ruairi just took his chance and showed quality; consistency in training, meetings and the games, so there is no reason to take him out.
"He's been really consistent and I am happy about that.
"That's the advantage I have, I don't see Ruairi as doing something special now, as I have seen him like that from the beginning, the same with Kellen Fisher.
"I think (Kellen) is doing what he can do and he can still improve, so we need to move and work further with them to make them better.
"In this league you need to have physicality, be strong in aerial duals offensively and defensively, which is what Ruairi is doing.
"He is doing the right things with the ball, making the right choices at the right moments."
Following Declan Rudd's promotion to first-team goalkeeping coach, Clement talked about new addition Ricardo Pereira to his coaching staff: "After moving up Declan, you create a hole in our academy.
"The academy is a very important part for me, I want it to be one world together, combined with the first team.
"There are more young players training with us before and it's the same as the goalkeepers, so Ricardo can help with the academy and first team and like he did this week; we could combine things."
After only facing the Hornets in the reverse fixture earlier this month, Clement talked about his learnings from the visit to Vicarage Road against tomorrow night's visitors.
"There have been some tweaks from the last time we played them but not general different ideas.
"If you look at the form of the teams in the last five games, Watford is the team that are top, so it will be a challenge.
"The second team is QPR.
"We have been really unlucky with the schedule, but on the other side, it gives the team a lot of confidence beating a team like Southampton and the point against Preston; we know we face a really good challenge tomorrow but everybody is looking forward to it.
"Even Watford's staff said we deserved something after that game.
"The team has shown really good things in the short term now, the way they become stronger in every sense, I see the team growing a lot.
"One really important part in football if you want to be successful is consistency, it's another test tomorrow.
"If we want to reach our goals in the long-term, you can only do that with consistent performing on this level. We haven't created that just yet but we know that was impossible with all of the injuries.
"I don't feel anybody in this building is busy with where we are in the league, we are focused on the next game and getting the best out of ourselves every game, being brave.
"The focus is totally on ourselves and not the ranking; if the team focuses on itself then we will end in the right place."
