There was mixed news on the fitness front from Johannes Hoff Thorup during his press conference ahead of the visit of Stoke City to Carrow Road.
Marcelino Núñez is available once again after missing the draw against Hull City last weekend.
However, Kenny McLean (illness) and Emi Marcondes are both expected to remain out as they recover. Longer term injuries to Amankwah Forson, Gabe Forsyth and Liam Gibbs will keep them unavailable.
Matěj Jurásek has also been added to the list of casualties with a minor complaint.
"Good news is that Nacho is back. He'll play tomorrow. Kenny is still out, an infection we have to treat. He's on medication but hopefully he can be in contention for Blackburn," the head coach said.
"Emi had an injection this week and we're hoping he can be available next week too. Liam Gibbs and Gabe will probably be towards the back side of the next international break. Forson is getting better, we can start to bring him into the team training next week.
"Matěj will be out this weekend, but should be available again next weekend. When we scanned him, we could see a little bit in his thigh but it's too big a risk to involve him tomorrow. It takes time to build someone to be ready to compete in the Championship."
As well as those with injuries, City are without Callum Doyle whose 10th yellow card rules him out for both Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers.
"We'll try not to adapt too much. José (Córdoba) is ready and there's good competition but we've decided to go with Callum. José will step in and take that position tomorrow," Hoff Thorup explained.
On the opposition, he said: "They do some good stuff playing out from the back. If we're not good enough in our pressing, they have the qualities to put us under pressure.
"Looking at their games, there are some positions and decisions that remain the same. They have some clear principles but the team selection can change, every team will do the same."
