Norwich City head coach Dean Smith has confirmed that centre-back Andrew Omobamidele will be unavailable to face Luton Town after picking up an injury against Watford.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference for Tuesday's clash, Smith confirmed the defender's absence and provided an update on other squad members including Isaac Hayden who made his Norwich debut on Saturday.

"He has an ankle injury. He won't be available for Tuesday. We haven't had a report yet so we don't know how long he'll be out for," Smith said.

"We'll listen to the medical staff and we'll listen to Isaac himself. He's not ready to start a game. You could see in that last 15 minutes, he needed his experience to carry him through."

Ahead of the visit of Luton to Carrow Road, Smith has said he is expecting a high energy performance from Nathan Jones' team.

"They've a good, strong team. Nathan has done a really good job there. They're aggressive, on the front foot and play with a lot of energy.

"They'll be confident, they always will be. Nathan is confident in his ability and how he gets his teams to play.

"Every game we go into, 80 per cent is about us. The levels we want to play at, the players know they let an opportunity slip through their fingers on Saturday."
