Oscar Schwartau is expected to be out injured for a number of weeks after picking up a hamstring injury in the FA Cup fourth round win against West Brom.
The Danish teenager was replaced in the second half on Saturday and head coach Philippe Clement has now confirmed the injury during his press conference ahead of the fixture against Birmingham City.
"It's not a big, big one but he'll be out for a few weeks, bad luck there. We didn't expect it with him because he's been really robust but it can still happen. He's still only 19, people forget that. He's been massive for me in this three months. We'll miss him but, again, it's an opportunity for others to step up," Clement said.
"The biggest speed he has hit while he has been at the club and he's felt his hamstring, his body didn't follow the speed."
There are no other fresh concerns for the Norwich boss after that fixture while he's also given an update on some players who have not featured in recent weeks.
"For the rest of the squad, all good. Everybody trained really well. Jakov (Medić) is back in training, (Amankwah) Forson had his first training week without restrictions.
"(Robustness) is a big focus, I had a talk 15 minutes ago with him about that. We need to break the cycle he's had here and in his club before. We all have this ambition to go to the Premier League, you need to be robust to play on that stage every three days.
"I'm still in contact with Harry (Amass) about his rehab, we're doing that together with Manchester United. This season, I hope in a good scenario that Harry can play for us at the end of the season."
Having beat West Brom, Norwich secured their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Monday night's draw has pitted Clement and co against Leeds United at Elland Road in the fifth round in mid-March.
"It's a big challenge, good team, big club, big fanbase. I know the club already from the past, I played there in a friendly one time with Monaco and the stadium was full. It was a good experience," Clement added.
"For us as a club, as a squad, it's a really good challenge. Leeds are doing really good things in the Premier League, they're out of the relegation zone. It'll be good to compete at that level.
"I believe against every opponent that, on one day, we can win against every team in the world and I think my players believe that also now."
Birmingham City were the opposition when Clement first took charge of the club back in November.
On that day, Norwich suffered a 4-1 defeat at St Andrew's and now the Belgian is hoping that he, and his squad, can show off the progress that has been made in the three months since.
"It's a good test tomorrow. My first game, against Birmingham, at half-time I was wondering what is going on. The second half was already much better, tomorrow is a moment to prove we are further ahead. But it's also a much-improved squad for them, they spent money in January. All the team is up for that and hungry to prove themselves," he said.
"There's a lot of good progression, you see things on the pitch but I also see them off the pitch. We're working really hard with everyone in the building to make things better in every sense, everything that this club is about. Every department is busy and improvement is being made.
"I think there's a better foundation now. The West Brom game is a good example of that, there is stability, clarity, not so much fear when something goes wrong - not for players, not for fans, not for people around the club. One result can't change the situation anymore. We won't be perfect all the way to the end of the season, there'll be moments like the Stoke game at home."
