David Wagner gave an update on squad fitness in Friday's press conference ahead of the FA Cup fourth round fixture against Liverpool.
The head coach confirmed that Josh Sargent would be absent as part of his recovery plan and Jonathan Rowe had picked up an injury in the fixture against Leeds United midweek.
"Everything has gone perfect for Josh so far, especially from the medical department. Everyone wants to be involved in the game against Liverpool, Jonny included, but it's part of football," Wagner said.
"After Leeds, Jonny Rowe has broken a bone in his hand so he will miss Sunday's game, maybe Coventry as well. He does not need surgery.
"He doesn't know how he did it, just that it happened in the second half of the Leeds game.
"Let's hope they recover quick and support and push in the next Championship games."
On the topic of the transfer window and rumours surrounding Rowe, David said: "He is super cool and very adult. He behaves older than 20 years old in a lot of situations, like this one.
"We know what our target is this season and we know that Jonny Rowe will play a big part in this."
The Canaries lost out 1-0 to Leeds United in Wednesday night's fixture at Elland Road, with the only goal scored by Patrick Bamford.
"It was like all the games, there are elements that were good, elements that were less good. At the end of the day, we lost, which is frustrating, but we can take the positives out of it. We know exactly what we have to improve."
Jürgen Klopp was also a topic, the Liverpool manager announced he would be leaving the club at the end of the season.
David said: "I wasn't surprised when he told me; I was happy for him.
"I know how hard and how difficult for him this decision was and it shows a lot of personality, character and bravery to make this decision. But only he knows what is best for him and altogether we know how exhausting and how challenging the business can be.
"No one has more understanding for this decision as I do. If he knows it's best for him then I am happy for him.
"Our friendship developed to something more than friendship, he is like a family member. He will always help you out if there is something where you can lean on his shoulder, all the stuff you need in good times or less times, this is the relationship that we have. Luckily we can see each other one more time.
"For me, he is the best manager in the world."
On the topic of Sunday's game against the Premier League leaders, David said: "It isn't a free hit but it's a game in a different competition.
"Nothing that happens on Sunday will change anything for the Championship season. They are good, no surprise to anyone; my analyst department was impressed, but we will go there and try and embrace the occasion and go for it."
