David Wagner confirmed that Jonathan Rowe is set to miss tomorrow's Sky Bet Championship fixture at Carrow Road against Watford.
He said: "It is looking like a hamstring injury. He has a scan this afternoon, so we will know more in detail after."
On striker Josh Sargent being replaced at QPR on Saturday, Wagner said: "He didn't feel comfortable at the beginning of the week, so we decided he should not play more than 60 minutes before the game.
"We are happy that he is catching up minutes in fitness as well. He is very hungry to play, but he is a smart guy and he knows what kind of decisions we have to make to keep him healthy.
"He also makes the other players better; if you saw \[Ashley\] Barnsey against QPR and Coventry, he is in very interesting spaces to have good moments for the back foot turns, he is on a totally different level as well.
"We are happy we have Sarge back; he has shown what he is capable of and the sky is the limit for Josh."
On further squad fitness updates, the Norwich City head coach confirmed: "Everyone is fine, but Grant \[Hanley\] is in the back of our minds. He has now played his first full 90 minutes but he, like others, is totally fine, no further injuries.
"\[Shane\] Duffy will have his follow-up at the end of the week."
The Canaries made the trip to Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon, taking away a point in a 2-2 draw against QPR.
"We always reflect on the whole game, not just the last 15 minutes, sometimes in more detail, it depends on how far away the next game is, who the opponent is."
On the topic of transfer deadline day loan signing Sydney van Hooijdonk, Wagner said: "I know how well-known Sydney's name is, but don't put too much pressure on this boy.
"He didn't play a lot in the last few months, so give him time.
"We had this conversation around Borja Sainz when he first joined. If the moment is right, this guy will get his time and we are very happy to have him here.
"Give him time to settle, it's a new country, big change. We are happy to have him as an alternative and he will get used."
Watford will be heading to Carrow Road on Tuesday evening for Norwich's next taste of league action.
"We will give them the respect they deserve, but we need the energy and atmosphere to make something special happen.
"This is our aim tomorrow; we have to have a top performance, all departments will be top on energy, aggression.
"I am focused on us, how we can extend what the players have done and continue to perform and make some further steps to make sure we are very solid defensively.
"They will have some chances tomorrow, this is not avoidable but we have to make sure there are not a lot and the chances they have, we kill them."
The reverse fixture at Vicarage Road saw the Canaries losing out 3-2 after going ahead early on.
"It was a very good football match, they were better than us on the day but now there are different circumstances.
"What excites me is it is another big challenge. We know what we like to do, we know how we like to do it and hopefully we can execute at the final level."
The press conference concluded with a reflection on Abu Kamara, currently on loan to League One side Portsmouth.
"Everything has paid off for him and for us, we chose the right club, the right manager and hopefully he can be part of a very successful team.
"I wish him all the best and continues to stay healthy and then I will look forward to working with him in pre-season."
