David Wagner has welcomed some faces back into first-team training over the international window, however it is at an early stage for captain Grant Hanley and Jacob Sørensen.
The skipper has been back in team training after six months out with an Achilles injury but Wagner highlighted how important it has been to see him return.
As well as that, he was happy to see all of the players on international duty return healthy while Marcelino Núñez was able to get some minutes with Chile.
"The internationals all came back healthy. Nacho (Núñez) flew back last night, he'll be out on the grass for the first time today. We had a big group in training this week - everyone apart from the two strikers and Nacho," Wagner said.
When asked about availability for this weekend, Wagner told the press: "Borja (Sainz), yes. Lungi (Sørensen) needs time. Grant is back in team training now as well. It's great to see him back after six months time, earlier than expected. But it's great to have his presence in the dressing room again. He will still need time though.
"For (Josh) Sarge, it's too early to predict with him. (Ashley) Barnes might be able to make the Cardiff game before the international break, it's too early to say but I won't rule him out. For sure, he'll be back after that November break."
During the week off, the head coach said that it offered him and his staff the opportunity to reflect on the season so far and to tweak some details that they felt could be improved.
It was also a chance to prepare for a busy week where Leeds and Middlesbrough visit Carrow Road before a trip to Sunderland next weekend.
"We had the chance to reflect a little bit and move forward. Look at the details, what needs to be better and what we've done well. And it was a chance to speak and work with individuals.
"We want to go back to our best. Our home record is decent, we want to extend that and we have two home games to do that.
"Super challenging games - and not only this three but Blackburn after that and then Cardiff. But I'm really looking forward to playing at home again.
"Leeds were active in the transfer window, everything needs time to click together. Especially offensively, they have a lot of talent collectively and individually."
