Norwich City summer signings Gabriel Sara and Marcelino Núñez could make their debuts for the club in this weekend’s Sky Bet Championship game at home to Wigan Athletic.
“Sara has trained all week and is available,” Dean Smith said in his pre-match press conference at Lotus Training Centre on Friday morning.
“We’re waiting on some paperwork for Marcelino and I don’t expect issues with that so he should be available too.
“It’s nice to have a near full squad to choose from and to leave some people off of the bench,” Smith added.
Smith confirmed that there were no new injury concerns since last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Cardiff City, with Sam Byram still out and Adam Idah “not quite ready just yet.”
At centre-back, Grant Hanley is suspended following his two bookings at Cardiff, but Ben Gibson is available having trained all week.
The same can be said for Kieran Dowell, who is available to face his former club.
There was also an update provided on Jonathan Rowe, who has had a scan following a stress related injury on his shin. “He’ll be out for a while, but we’re not sure how long,” Smith said.
As for Isaac Hayden, “the swelling has gone off of his knee, so he’s happy with how things are progressing.”
