Head coach David Wagner provided some updates on the squad ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet Championship opening weekend.
The Canaries welcome Hull City to Carrow Road for a 3pm kick-off, and will do so after both sides came through their pre-season schedules unbeaten.
Wagner has been pleased with his side's application and admits confidence is high in the group.
"It was a good pre-season we had. Good training weeks, good tests against good opponents. We travelled a lot but I think the travel made it shorter," he explained.
"Now, in a competitive game, we need to be on the next level. The boys set the standards very high, their own demands in training are very high. The players came back in good condition so we could start at a high point."
He also provided updates on a number of players who are injured, including captain Grant Hanley who suffered an Achilles injury against Blackburn Rovers in April.
"Grant is doing very well, he's now three-and-a-half months post-surgery. He has some months to go but he's doing very well, he's with us every day in the dressing room which is good.
"Borja (Sainz) is progressing very well, he's out of his boot and we hope he's back a little bit earlier. We have to wait on the next two weeks or three weeks. (Jon) Tomkinson is back in two to three weeks, in full training. It's not as bad as we expected.
Wagner also indicated that he will be without Jacob Sørensen for a period as the Dane is scheduled to meet with a pelvic consultant regarding an injury picked up during pre-season.
Max Aarons and Milot Rashica will also be absent from this weekend's matchday squad as they continue their word having joined up with the squad later in the summer.
"For them it's pre-season. They have to catch-up, they train with us but have individual work to do. They won't be involved in the match squad," Wagner said.
Ahead of Saturday, the head coach called upon the players and supporters to come together to create an atmosphere at Carrow Road that will make it a difficult place for visiting teams.
"I am confident about this group of characters, the togetherness, commitment, atmosphere. They have their own standards and demands. Now that the games have come, we have to show that.
"I'm happy we have a game at home, the atmosphere has to be electric. The supporters want competitive football, they haven't seen us in a competitive game for a long time. Some new faces will be used and the players are looking forward to it as well.
"We have seen (Hull's) pre-season games. Our analyst was at their game against Nantes. We had a meeting today, and I told the lads" 'Here is the information but it is about you.'
"We need to make sure that we get across all that we have worked on for the last six weeks."
