Johannes Hoff Thorup confirmed that Angus Gunn will miss the weekend's trip to Stoke City, while speaking to the press on Thursday afternoon at the Avant Training Centre.
The Canaries face the Potters in a 3pm kick-off at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday as they go up against former first-team coach Narcís Pèlach for the first time since he joined Stoke City as head coach.
Thorup confirmed that the team will be without first choice 'keeper Gunn who has a side strain that he picked up in the win over Hull City before the break: "It can be a couple of weeks maybe. We will try and inject it and see if it can go a little bit faster."
The head coach was upbeat about the fitness of Marcelino Núñez: "More positive than expected, he could do a little bit on the pitch today and perhaps tomorrow. We had him in the day after the game (Hull City) and it was not that good but he went for a scan and it was better than expected."
José Córdoba was a travelling member of the Panama squad but did not play because of some knee pain but Thorup expects him to feature against Stoke City: "They (Panama) wanted to see him, which is perfectly fine. It was ok for him to go back and see his family.
"He was not able to play with that pain in his knee. It's not really an injury it's just perhaps overuse, so we perhaps have to be careful about it."
"If he's doing well in the session tomorrow then there's no worries from my side that he can play."
The head coach gave some news on some of the longer term injuries in the squad: "Fasi (Christian Fassnacht) will be on the grass next week, Lungi (Jacob Sørensen) has been with us the last five days.
"Barnesy (Ashley Barnes) came back after these couple of weeks feeling a lot better after wearing a boot, so hopefully we can start to put him a little bit on the grass as well."
He also confirmed that Liam Gibbs and Onel Hernández would be still be out for around 10 to 12 weeks.
When asked about how to approach facing former coaches Pèlach and Paul Clements, the head coach joked: "We change the style of play completely."
Continuing, he said: "My view in football is that it's 80 to 90 per cent about us.
"We have to be aware that they were in the building a few weeks ago but it's up to us and it's up to us to continue in the style we've been doing."
