Three Norwich City supporters have been banned from attending the club’s home and away fixtures following an incident during our game away at Millwall.
The individuals, one of which was identified as being responsible for throwing a pyrotechnic onto the field of play following our second goal, were ejected from the away section. They were then subsequently arrested by police and have since been issued stadium bans.
Following this incident, the club have since received written confirmation from The FA of an investigation into our supporter behaviour. The outcome of this investigation could potentially result in a substantial fine for the club and restrictions on supporters attending our future fixtures.
The club would like to remind its supporters of the zero-tolerance policy on the use of flares, smoke bombs, fireworks or any other form of pyrotechnic inside stadiums.
It is illegal for supporters to bring any form of pyrotechnic into stadiums. These can cause severe burning, breathing problems, as well as damage to hands, hearing, lungs and eyes. As a major fire hazard, pyrotechnics can also cause damage to grounds and surroundings.
Any supporter caught attempting to enter stadiums with pyrotechnics will be reported to the police, with a potential prosecution resulting in a criminal record, as well as a stadium ban, as per the club’s sanction tariff.
All Norwich City fixtures should be safe for our players, staff and supporters.
