Time to Talk takes place every year and is the UK’s biggest mental health conversation, encouraging people to come together to talk and listen about struggles they might be going through.
This Time to Talk Day (Thursday, February 2), the club would like to highlight some of the programmes offered to help people in times of need.
Norwich City’s Community Sports Foundation is proud to host a variety of programmes and campaigns for those in the local community, including Run For Me, hosted at The Nest.
Funded through Run Norwich, the community running group is the Foundation's commitment to get people moving along with building confidence and boosting self-esteem.
We talked to Hazel, a Run For Me participant, who shared her story on how she found a new outlook on life, along with great friends at the group after she lost her husband to cancer.
We also spoke to Dudley, one of the programme coaches, who found his love of running after suffering a brain injury following an accident in 2009. Being part of Run For Me has allowed him to find joy in the little things and help others try something new for the benefit of their own health, mentally and physically.

Alongside Run For Me, the Foundation runs many programmes to support people in the local community, including Extra Time, Team Talk, Ahead of the Game and Duncan’s Club. To find out more information about what the Community Sports foundation have to offer visit their website here.
We have also put together a dedicated page of resources here with further information about where to get help and what else the club has to offer.
