Norwich City academy defender Tyler Williams has signed his first professional contract at the club.
He is currently in his second season with the Canaries at Under-18 level.
"I'm delighted," Williams says. "It's been a long journey, and it's taken a lot of hard work to get here, but I'm proud that I've got this far.
"I can't rest on what I've got now, and I've got to keep pushing and get to the highest level that I can.
"It's always an honour to play for the club, and I'm grateful to Norwich for allowing me to put on the shirt and represent them every time I step out and play for them."
Williams also spoke about his development so far this season, as well as highlighting his key strengths as a player.
"Obviously, parts of the season have been challenging but personally, I try and learn from everything we do.
"Even with the losses, I try to take in as much as I can and hopefully that can help the team and start building with some positive results.
"As a player, I feel like I'm defensively solid and I don't like any players getting past me. I like to be hard to beat, but also a deep-lying creator too."
The 17-year-old has featured for Greg Crane's Under-18s so far this season, and says he is aiming to push for the Under-21s in the near future.
"For the rest of the season, I'd like to make a couple of appearances for the Under-21s. The aim now is to fully push on and get into that squad, and then hopefully into the first team."
