Norwich City Under-18s were beaten 2-1 by their Reading counterparts on Saturday morning.

Reading started out the brighter side, as Thierry Rohart-Brown's shot was blocked by a defender.

The hosts continued to threaten in the first half, with Caleb Ansen being called into action to make two very good stops.

Gabriel Keita would block another effort, as the first half ended with very few clear-cut chances for either side.

Jerae Jones was a threat for Reading, forcing a good save from Ansen before seeing another shot blocked.

Keita almost opened the scoring at the other end for Norwich, having his header saved by the goalkeeper.

And Norwich would open the scoring through Alex Roberts, who found the bottom corner after being found by Alfie Pinyoun.

Reading would find an immediate equaliser, however. Jack Timberlake restored parity for the hosts.

Timberlake would strike again for Reading, as the hosts turned the game on its head to claim all three points.

The Under-18s are back in action next week, as they host West Bromwich Albion at the Lotus Training Centre.
