Norwich City Under-18s lost 1-2 at home today following a late winner from mid-table Fulham in the Under 18 League South.
The game started off nervous for City, as they conceded a penalty early on after keeper Reece Trueman tripped Fulham’s Lemar Gordon in the box.
Olly Sanderson stepped up to take but couldn’t convert as his shot hit the post and was cleared away.
The visitors continued to push on and eventually got their first through Harvey Araujo, who tapped home from Delano McCoy-Splatt’s corner.
City went in behind at the break with work to do, but with only the one goal separating the two sides.
The Yellows came out in the second half with much more positivity, with Joe Duffy nearly pulling one back from a free kick that went just inches wide of the target.
At the 69-minute mark, City managed to pull one back as Lewis Shipley found Ken Aboh in the box, who was able to fire home.
City managed to hold their own against the mid-table side, who were in the best run of form in the league, but only for another 15 minutes.
At the 85-minute mark, Dibley-Dias netted the winner as he slotted home into the bottom corner, making it 1-2.
Duffy came closest to claiming a fourth goal but was unable to hit the target in the final minutes of the game.
