Norwich City Under-18s fell to a 3-2 defeat at home to Southampton in the Under-18 Premier League South.
Toby Chilvers had the game's first opportunity, seeing his effort saved by the Southampton goalkeeper early on.
Miles Bracking then hit the crossbar with a header, as the Canaries started out as the brighter side.
And just before half-time, Damari Daley opened the scoring for Norwich as he finished from close range after La'Sean Sealey's pass.
Chilvers was given a second yellow card 10 minutes into the second half, with the Canaries playing the final 35 minutes of the fixture with ten men.
Southampton made their man advantage count as they equalised through Jay Robinson, who added his and the club's second minutes later to turn the game around.
Rio Mundle saw an effort go over the crossbar for Norwich, as they searched for a way back into the game.
But the Saints added a third goal through Aston Daley to put the game to bed.
Late on, Lloyd Ofori-Manteaw headed in for the Canaries but there wasn't enough time to find another as the points went to Southampton.
