Norwich City Under-18s were beaten by their Arsenal counterparts on Saturday afternoon, falling to a 3-1 defeat in the Under-18 Premier League South.
Hugo Valencia Gomez registered the game's first chance early on, as he got up highest from a Finlay Oligbo cross but his header was wide of the post.
For Arsenal, both Max Dowman and Louis Zecevic-John had chances to open the scoring but were denied by Canaries goalkeeper Henry Bullen.
And just after the 20 minute mark, Norwich were ahead. Oligbo was the creator as he found Damari Daley, who finished into the bottom corner.
But the Canaries would only be ahead for ten minutes, with Arsenal finding an equaliser. Dan Casey would be the player to level for the Gunners.
Early in the second half, Arsenal would be given the opportunity to take the lead from the penalty spot after Dowman was fouled. The Arsenal player took the spot-kick himself and found the back of the net.
Vatan Ozcan and Daley came close to finding an equaliser and a route back into the game for Norwich, but were unable to find a way beyond the Arsenal defence.
Daley saw an effort hit the post for Norwich as they ramped up efforts to level the game, with Valencia Gomez also coming close.
Arsenal would be awarded another penalty in the game, with Doman scoring from the spot once again to confirm all three points for the home side.
The Under-18s are back in action next weekend, hosting West Bromwich Albion at the Avant Training Centre (KO 11am).
