Norwich City Under-18s fell to a 3-2 defeat at home to their Aston Villa counterparts in the Under-18 Premier League South on Tuesday afternoon.
Aston Villa went ahead at the Avant Training Centre after only six minutes as Gabriel Keita put through his own goal.
Toby Chilvers and Ben Tree created opportunities as the Canaries went in search of an equaliser, but wouldn't be able to find a leveller.
And then 10 minutes after their first goal, the away side doubled their lead. Jack McGrath would fire into the top corner as Aston Villa grabbed a second.
Norwich started brightly in the second half and would find a goal back six minutes after the restart as Finlay Corke fired in.
Four minutes later, the Canaries were level through Toby Chilvers. The midfielder was given an opportunity to shoot and he found the back of the net to equalise.
But Aston Villa would win the game late on as Cole Brannigan finished into the bottom corner.
The Under-18s are on their travels in their next Under-18 PL fixture, travelling away to face Chelsea (KO 11am).
