Under-18s Report | Norwich City 3-1 Derby County

Norwich City Under-18s claimed a 3-1 win at home to Derby County in the Under-18 Premier League Cup.

After drawing against Manchester City in their first group game, the Canaries were looking for their first win of the Under-18 PL Cup as they welcomed Derby to the Avant Training Centre.

The Canaries were ahead just before the hour mark as Damari Daley opened the scoring from La'Sean Sealey's assist.

Norwich's lead was doubled in the second half as Hugo Valencia Gomez, introduced as a half-time substitute, scored.

Derby did find a goal back to put pressure back on Norwich in the final stages, with Charles Agbawodikeizu on the scoresheet for the Rams.

But in the fifth minute of stoppage time, Lloyd Ofori-Manteaw added a third to wrap up all three points in the Under-18 PL Cup.

Victory means Greg Crane's side move level on points with Manchester City in Group A of the competition, with the Canaries travelling away to Brighton & Hove Albion in their final group game on Saturday, November 23.

Norwich also travel away to the Amex Elite Football Performance Centre to face Brighton next in the Under-18 Premier League South after the international break on October 19.
