Norwich City Under-18s were beaten on the road, falling to a 5-0 defeat away to Southampton in the Under-18 Premier League South.
Finlay Oligbo registered the game's first shot, but the Norwich defender saw his effort go off-target.
Gabriel Keita was next to threaten for Norwich, rising highest from a corner but his header was wide of the post.
Despite the Canaries' chances, it was Southampton who went in front. Nicholas Oyekunle found the bottom corner just after the half hour mark.
Ben Tree had a couple of chances for Norwich as they went in search of an equaliser before half-time, but couldn't find a way beyond Dylan Moody.
City goalkeeper Henry Bullen was called into action early in the first-half, denying Tinotenda Goremusandu's shot.
Southampton doubled their lead seven minutes into the second half, as Oyekunle added his second of the game.
Alan Domeracki came close to pulling a goal back, with Moody palming his effort out for a corner.
The home side added their third goal of the evening, as Oyekunle completed his hat-trick.
And ten minutes later, Southampton added a fourth. Oyekunle was on the scoresheet once again, finding the bottom corner.
There would be a fifth goal for Southampton before full-time, as Goremusandu fired beyond Bullen.
The Under-18s are back in Under-18 PL South action on Tuesday, as they welcome Leicester City to the Avant Training Centre (KO 1pm).
