Norwich City Under-18s fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat away to their West Ham United counterparts in the Under-18 Premier League South.
Henry Bullen was called into action early on, saving well from an effort by West Ham's Elisha Sowumni.
Hugo Valencia Gomez had a couple of opportunities in quick succession for the Canaries. First having an effort from long range, before seeing a header saved.
In the second half, Finlay Corke came close to opening the scoring but his effort was narrowly wide of the post.
West Ham would go in front in the second half, as Josh Landers would find the top corner from Majid Balogun's assist.
Corke was the danger man for Norwich once again, as he saw another chance go wide of the West Ham post.
Norwich had the perfect opportunity to find a leveller in the game as Damari Daley was fouled in the area and won a penalty. Corke saw his spot-kick saved, however, as Finley Hooper denied him.
The Under-18s are back in action next weekend, as they travel away to Arsenal (KO 12pm).
