Norwich City Under-18s began 2024 on a winning note, claiming a 4-1 victory against Aston Villa in the Under-18 Premier League South.
The hosts took the lead after only five minutes, as George Hemmings managed to find a way beyond Caleb Ansen.
Trai-varn Mulley forced Ansen into a smart stop, before Errol Mundle-Smith went close with a chance for Norwich.
Alex Roberts then saw an effort saved well by the Aston Villa goalkeeper, with Ansen denying Bradley Burrows at the other end shortly after.
And just before the half-hour mark, the Canaries were level. Mundle-Smith found the equaliser, scoring from close range.
In the second minute of injury time at the end of the first half, La'Sean Sealey scored at the second attempt to put Norwich ahead.
Ansen was called into action early in the second half, saving well from both Ewan Simpson and Burrows.
Damari Daley had an effort go wide of the post, as the Canaries went in search of an extension to their lead.
Toby Chilvers and Mundle-Smith would both come close, with efforts being blocked and saved by the Villa defence.
Miles Bracking would add the third goal for Norwich, finding the bottom corner with an effort from outside the area.
And it would be four shortly after, with Toby Chilvers finishing well from close range after being found by Mundle-Smith.
Uriah Djedje almost added a fifth Norwich goal late on, but his effort was just wide of the post.
The Under-18s are back in action at the Lotus Training Centre next weekend, as they host Fulham (KO 12pm).
