Their strong start was rewarded with a second goal, as Luke Pearce doubled their lead.

Joe Duffy put an effort just wide of the post, as the Canaries went in the break behind.
The second half was a quiet one, as Norwich tried to find a route into the game. Waylon Renecke met a Gabe Forsyth corner, but his header was over the bar.
Pearce had a chance to add a third for the away side, but for a Charlie Wilson challenge.
The Canaries were unable to get back into the game as Southampton claimed all three points.
