Norwich City Under-21s fell to a 3-1 defeat at home to Aston Villa in the PL2 on Friday evening.
Aston Villa opened the scoring through Chisom Afoka, before Harry Brooke equalised. They'd find further goals through Aaron O'Reilly and Travis Patterson.
The Canaries started out on the front foot, as Finley Welch spearheaded a counter-attack. The final pass just lacked conviction, and Aston Villa were able to clear.
It would be the visitors who would go in front, as Afoka found the top corner with a brilliant curled effort.
Welch would be involved again, as Norwich went in search of an equaliser. His shot was saved well after some good wing play by Ken Aboh.
Aboh and Ben Watt would then see a couple of shots blocked, as Alan Neilson's side ramped up their search to go level.
And they'd find the leveller through Brooke. Aboh involved in some good play out-wide put the ball into the box, which eventually fell to Brooke, who found the back of the net to equalise.
But Aston Villa would go into half-time ahead, as O'Reilly fired in at the second attempt.
Watt registered Norwich's first attempt on goal in the second half, as his curling effort forced the Villa goalkeeper into a save.
The away side added a third goal just before the hour mark, as Patterson found the bottom corner.
Joe Rose then produced a superb save to keep the deficit at two, saving well from Young.
Norwich would be unable to find a route back into the game, with Villa claiming three points.
