Norwich City Under-21s fell to a 3-2 defeat against AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League Cup.

Bournemouth went into an early lead after Dominic Sadi put the Cherries in front from close range.

And they doubled their lead eight minutes later, as Nathan Moriah Welsh finished well from a cut-back.

Elliot Myles, making his first competitive appearance for the Under-21s, did well as he surged clear of a defender and sent a dangerous ball into the area. It was met by Ken Aboh, but his effort was off target.

Emmanuel Adegboyega saw a header saved well by the Bournemouth 'keeper, as he met Harry Brooke's cross.

Gabriel Forsyth almost pulled one back but saw his curled effort go just over the crossbar.

Joe Duffy would turn the game on its head a few minutes after his introduction. From a corner, he fired in from close range after a melee in the box. A few minutes later, he levelled things up as his cross looped in over the goalkeeper.

But despite the Canaries drawing level, Bournemouth would regain the lead. Daniel Ade-Adjei did well to find the bottom corner.
