Norwich City Under-21s made a return to winning ways, claiming a 3-0 victory over Aston Villa in the Premier League 2 on Monday night.
The game's first chance led to the first goal, as Brandon Forbes fizzed a pass into Dan Ogwuru. The attacker set it back to Adian Manning, who found the bottom corner.
Caleb Ansen made a good save on the half-hour mark, getting an arm onto a strong effort from an Aston Villa attacker.
Elliot Myles was closest to adding to the scoresheet for the Canaries, but his chipped effort was over the crossbar.
In the second half, Kobei Moore almost equalised as his effort went narrowly over Ansen's crossbar.
Ansen was called into action moments later, getting down to deny an effort from Kadan Young.
But despite Aston Villa's strong start to the second half, it was Norwich who would score the next goal. A poor clearance from goalkeeper Lander Emery came to Myles, who found Manning with a back-heel. The ball eventually came to Ogwuru who put it across goal for Toby Chilvers to score.
Ben Broggio came within inches of pulling one back for the hosts, seeing his effort come back out off the post.
Norwich added their third goal in stoppage time, as Manning curled perfectly into the bottom corner.
The Under-21s are back in action on Thursday evening, as they host Dutch side PSV Eindhoven in the Premier League International Cup at Carrow Road. Tickets are available here.
