Norwich City Under-21s were beaten 2-0 by their Blackburn Rovers counterparts in Premier League 2 on Monday evening.
Blackburn had the game's first chance, as Zach Stritch put an effort wide of the post.
The home side continued to threaten inside the opening half-hour at the Lancashire FA County Ground, with chances falling to Harrison Wood and Stritch.
Norwich's first opportunity on goal came to Errol Mundle-Smith, who cut inside well but saw his effort go off-target.
And before half-time, Brandon Forbes was next to see an effort saved by the Blackburn goalkeeper, Nicolas Michalski.
The Canaries started out brightly in the second half, having a couple of chances in quick succession. First, Michalski parried away an effort from Mundle-Smith, before AJ Bridge fired at the Blackburn goalkeeper.
But it would be Blackburn who would go in front, as Wood fired and scored at the near post.
And they doubled their lead later on, as Stritch finished well from Joe Boggan's cut-back.
The Under-21s are back in action on Friday, March 14, as they host Chelsea at the Avant Training Centre (KO 12pm ).
