Norwich City Under-21s fell to a 3-2 defeat away to Bromley in the Under-21 Premier League Cup on Friday night.
Norwich took the lead after eight minutes, as Harmony Okwumo got forward and cut inside a defender. His initial effort was blocked, before he fired beyond James Batt for the opener.
In the following minutes, there was a number of half-chances for the Canaries to double their lead. Dan Ogwuru and Brandon Forbes both came close with respective efforts.
AJ Bridge was next to threaten the Bromley goal as Norwich tried to add to the score, but his effort was over the crossbar.
Eight minutes into the second half, the lead was doubled. Sonny Rowland's ball forward caused a defensive mix-up and Ogwuru was there to lift the ball into an empty net.
Bromley pulled a goal back as Charlie Paye bundled the ball home from close range after Ellis Craven had saved an initial first effort from Marc Nouble.
Paye would score again for Bromley as the home side levelled. Norwich failed to clear from a free-kick and Paye fired in from close range.
And Bromley took the lead in injury time as Marc Nouble curled brilliantly into the top corner.
The Under-21s return to action after the international break, hosting Exeter City at the Avant Training Centre on Wednesday, November 20 (KO 7pm).
