Norwich City Under-21s came out on top in a seven-goal thriller, winning 4-3 away to Colchester United in the Under-21 Premier League Cup.
Luke Towler was behind the game's first opportunity, as his side-footed effort hit the crossbar and bounced clear.
Colchester went in front just after the 10-minute mark, as Kaion Lisbie found the far corner and finished beyond Caleb Ansen.
And eight minutes later, the home side doubled their lead as Milton Oni lifted the ball over Ansen.
Four minutes into the second half, the Canaries would reduce the deficit. Botan Ameen put the ball across goal and Finley Welch found the bottom corner with a brilliant improved flick.
Toby Chilvers would equalise three minutes later, tapping home from close range after Welch squared the ball across goal.
Then moments later, Norwich went ahead. A defensive mix-up saw a Colchester defender score an own goal.
Chilvers added his second of the evening, as Forbes' clipped ball eventually fell to him in the area and he fired beyond Harrison Chamberlain in the Colchester goal.
Colchester added a third goal, after a defensive mix-up from the Canaries allowed Makise Evans to fire into the far corner.
But the Canaries would see out the game and claim their first win in the Under-21 PL Cup.
The Under-21s continue their Under-21 PL Cup campaign with the visit of Sunderland to the Avant Training Centre on Friday, December 12.
