A stoppage-time winner condemned Norwich City Under-21s to defeat away to Leeds United in Premier League 2 on Monday night.
The game's first real chance lead to the opening goal. Dylan Jones played a ball forward towards Brandon Forbes and the Scotsman raced through and found the bottom corner.
Norwich almost doubled their lead five minutes later, as Errol Mundle-Smith's cross was diverted towards his own goal by a Leeds defender. Goalkeeper Darryl Ombang had to parry over his own crossbar to prevent the danger.
Leeds' first shot saw Alfie Cresswell latch onto a ball forward but fire wide of Dan Barden's goal.
Forbes tried his luck to add his and Norwich's second of the game, but his effort was over the crossbar.
AJ Bridge came close to adding a second goal for the Canaries early in the second half, but his curled effort was narrowly over the bar.
Dylan Jones saw an effort hit the post as Norwich continued their search for a second goal, with Forbes firing over with the second attempt.
Norwich were reduced to 10 men just after the hour mark as Lewis Shipley saw red.
Barden made a strong save with his feet to deny Josh McDonald's effort, with Leeds trying to capitalise on the extra man advantage.
The Leeds' chances continued to come, with Brooklyn Nfonkeu seeing an effort curl just wide of the post.
And their attacking effort would lead to the equaliser, as Rhys Chadwick side-footed into the top corner.
In stoppage time, Leeds thought they had won it as Oliver Pickles' volley looked destined for the back of the net, but for a fantastic save from Barden to tip it onto the post.
And moments later, Leeds won the game with the last meaningful touch. A corner was floated into the area and Cresswell got up highest to head beyond Barden to claim all three points.
The Under-21s face another away game next week, travelling away to Blackburn Rovers in another PL2 fixture (KO 7pm).
