Norwich City Under-21s fell to a 4-2 defeat away to Manchester United in the Premier League 2 on Friday afternoon.
Manchester United would register the game's first opportunity on goal, as Daniel Armer got up highest from a corner. His header was well held by Caleb Ansen in the Norwich goal.
Moments later, the home side took the lead. An error at the back allowed Chido Obi to score in an empty net for the opening goal at Carrington.
Norwich did find a leveller. Alan Domeracki's free-kick was met by Luke Towler, who guided the ball beyond the goalkeeper to equalise.
Manchester United regained their lead only two minutes later, however, as Armer headed beyond Ansen from James Scanlon's set-piece.
Obi could've added a third for the home team just after the half-hour mark, but Ansen saved well with his feet.
Eight minutes into the second half, Manchester United added a third. Sam Mather dinked a cross into the back post and Ethan Ennis arrived at the right time to score.
Errol Mundle-Smith did very well to get to the byline and put the ball across goal, but Ken Aboh put the effort over the crossbar.
Not long after, Mundle-Smith pulled a goal back. The forward latched onto a long ball and saw his initial curled effort hit the woodwork, before he followed his shot in to score.
Gabriele Biancheri could've added a fourth for the Red Devils, but his effort was fired wide of the post. And they would add a fourth goal of the afternoon, as Jack Fletcher scored.
