Norwich City Under-21s claimed a 3-2 win away against their Newcastle United counterparts in the Premier League 2 on Monday evening.
The Canaries were ahead inside 30 seconds at Whitley Park, as Dylan Jones latched onto a ball forward and fired beyond James Taylor in the Newcastle goal.
Norwich's bright start continued, as Errol Mundle-Smith's bright run almost saw Vatan Özcan get on the end of a cross, but a good interception saw the ball cleared.
And just before the half-hour mark, the lead was doubled. A corner was flicked on at the near post by Luke Towler and Toby Chilvers was in the right place to nod in the second goal.
Just before half-time, Newcastle pulled a goal back as Rory Finneran tapped home from close range.
In the second half, the Canaries restored their two-goal lead. Ken Aboh surged forward, shrugging off a number of markers, and found Jones who finished beyond the Newcastle goalkeeper.
Late on, the home side scored a late consolation through Fraser Harper.
