Norwich City Under-21s fell to a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in their penultimate home fixture of the 2024/25 Premier League 2 season.

First-team players Vicente Reyes and Amankwah Forson were involved at Carrow Road and the Chilean goalkeeper was called into early action, saving from Dan Casey.

Nathan Butler-Oyedeji was next to threaten for the Gunners, seeing his effort hit the crossbar before bouncing clear.

Errol Mundle-Smith was Norwich's danger man in the early stages, spinning away from a marker before having a shot blocked by an Arsenal defender.

Reyes made a number of good stops in the first half, denying Andre Harriman-Annous. But he couldn't do anything about Arsenal's opener, as Michal Rosiak's free-kick found the top corner.

Nine minutes later, the away side doubled their lead through Jimi Gower who headed in from close range from a Jack Henry-Francis cross.

In the second half, Charlie Wilson won a header from an AJ Bridge corner but his header could only find the side-netting.

And six minutes into the second half, Arsenal added their third goal of the evening. Gower turned provider for their third goal, crossing into Will Sweet who headed into the far corner.

Late on, Dylan Jones had a couple of opportunities for the Canaries but saw his efforts saved by goalkeeper Tommy Setford.

The Under-21s play their penultimate PL2 fixture of the 2024/25 season away to Everton on Monday, April 7 (KO 7pm), before hosting Stoke City the following Friday.
