Norwich City Under-21s were beaten 3-0 by their Nottingham Forest counterparts in the Premier League 2 on at the Avant Training Centre on Friday evening.
In a complete role reversal of last week's game against West Bromwich Albion, the Canaries found themselves a goal behind within 30 seconds as Jimmy Sinclair opened the scoring.
And Nottingham Forest doubled their lead a minute later as Zach Abbott added a second after only three minutes.
Just after the half-hour mark, it would be three. A defensive error was capitalised on by the Forest attack, and a ball across goal was finished by Sinclair.
The Canaries had their best chance of the half not long before the whistle, as Ken Aboh was almost found by an Errol Mundle-Smith cross.
Finley Welch made a good run forward at the start of the second half, breaking into the box. He couldn't get his shot away before the away side cleared the danger.
Similarly, Aboh made a surging run forward before mis-hitting his shot which allowed Forest to clear their lines.
Alex Roberts saw a curled effort held well by the Forest 'keeper, but there wouldn't be a route back into the game for Norwich.
The Under-21s are away to West Ham United in their next PL2 fixture on Friday, August 30 (7pm KO).
