Norwich City Under-21s ended their 2024/25 Premier League 2 season with a 3-0 defeat at home to Stoke City.
Liam Gibbs played 45 minutes at the Avant Training Centre as he continues his return from injury, while Finlay Corke made his first start at Under-21s level.
The Canaries got off to a bright start as Corke almost opened the scoring. His glanced header bounced back off the post, as he got on the end of Lewis Shipley's cross.
Ellis Craven reacted well to deny Stoke's first chance of the game, saving from Ruben Curley's effort.
Brandon Forbes then had a couple of opportunities in the first half. First, an effort from long-range was saved by the Stoke 'keeper, before another shot was blocked.
Towards the end of the first half, Billy Gee surged forward and had a go from distance, but the shot was wide of the post.
Two efforts at the start of the second half almost put Norwich ahead. Harmony Okwumo flashed one wide of the post, before a smart corner routine saw Corke fire into the side-netting.
Stoke would take the lead, however, just before the hour mark as Emre Tezgel finished beyond Craven.
Forbes sent in a free-kick that was met by Corke, with the Stoke goalkeeper saving well to keep the Potters in front.
Norwich would end the game with 10 men, as Charlie Wilson saw red for a late challenge.
And Stoke's man advantage would help them score a second goal, with Tezgel reacting well to a loose pass and finding the back of the net.
In stoppage time, Stoke added their third goal of the game through Syd Agina as the Canaries ended their PL2 campaign in defeat.
