Norwich City scored a late equaliser to earn a point in the Under-21 Premier League Cup, drawing 1-1 at home to Sunderland.
The game's first chance fell to Norwich, as Finley Welch got a shot off from AJ Bridge's ball across goal, but his effort was saved.
Toby Chilvers was next to threaten for Norwich, getting on the end of a nice passing move before firing over the crossbar.
Sunderland grew into the game, however, and had a couple of chances to open the scoring before the break. Rhys Walsh curled wide, before Ian Poveda's shot needed Louie Moulden to parry away from danger.
Just before half-time, Sunderland came closest to opening the scoring as an effort struck the post and bounced clear.
Luke Towler was behind the first opening of the second half, latching onto Welch's pass, but the shot was off-target.
Sunderland would then open the scoring eight minutes into the second half, as Jack Whittaker found the top corner in brilliant fashion.
Elliot Myles was close to an equaliser, shooting low but his effort was pushed wide for a corner by Benjamin Metcalf in the Sunderland goal.
There was a late equaliser for Norwich, as Miles Bracking bundled home from close range.
The Under-21s conclude the group stage of the Under-21 PL Cup next Friday, as they host Bromley at the Avant Training Centre.
