Norwich City Under-21s fell to defeat at home to Burnley in Premier League 2, losing 4-1 at the Avant Training Centre.
The Canaries created the first opportunity of the game as AJ Bridge slipped through a ball to Ken Aboh. The eventual shot was just wide of the post.
Finley Welch's long, surging run almost resulted in the opening goal but his effort was off-target.
But it would be Burnley who would take the lead. Ellis Clark cut the ball back for Joe Bevan to find the far corner to score.
Norwich would find a leveller only seven minutes later. Welch led a counter-attack and released Aboh, who finished beyond the Burnley goalkeeper to equalise.
Ten minutes into the second half, Burnley regained the lead. Charlie Veveers set up McMahon-Brown, who lifted the ball over Rylee Mitchell to score.
And six minutes after their second goal, Burnley added a third. A free-kick eventually came to Jesse Williams, who finished from close range.
Alan Domeracki saw a volley held well by Oisin Cooney in the Burnley goal as the Canaries went in search of a route back into the game.
In stoppage time, Burnley added a fourth as Williams netted again from close range.
The Under-21s are on their travels next week, as they face Derby County on Friday, October 31.
