Norwich City Under-21s returned to winning ways in Premier League 2 with a 4-2 win at home to Stoke City on Friday night.

Norwich City Under-21s returned to winning ways in Premier League 2 with a 4-2 win at home to Stoke City on Friday night.

Jerome Kyremeh created the game's first chance inside the opening seconds, seeing his effort palmed over the crossbar by Luis Lines.

Norwich created their first opportunity of the game through Botan Ameen, who tried his luck from long range but saw his effort go narrowly wide of the post.

Just before the half-hour mark, Stoke went in front. Elliot Fearn was sent through and fired in beyond Lines.

Stoke had the opportunity to double their lead from the penalty spot, but Lines was the hero and he guessed right to deny Chinoso Chibueze's spot-kick.

The Canaries responded with an equaliser. Brandon Forbes was played through and cut inside, before finding the far corner with a fine curled effort.

In the second half, Norwich went ahead as Luke Towler found the bottom corner with a fine finish.

The lead didn't last long, however, as Eric Hamelberg levelled for Stoke two minutes later.

Toby Chilvers restored the Norwich lead with a brilliant strike. A cross was cleared only as far as Chilvers on the edge of the box. His first touch set himself to volley in.

Towler added a fourth goal for Norwich late on, putting the icing on the cake for the Canaries.

The Under-21s welcome Arsenal to the Avant Training Centre in their next PL2 fixture on Friday, March 6.
