Under-21s Report | Norwich City 6-1 West Bromwich Albion

Norwich City Under-21s began the 2024/25 Premier League 2 season in clinical fashion, winning 6-1 against West Bromwich Albion at the Avant Training Centre.

The Canaries got off to the perfect start and were ahead inside of a minute. Dan Ogwuru surged forward and saw his effort parried away by the West Brom goalkeeper, with Ken Aboh there to tap in the rebound.

However, their fast start was halted after Norwich were reduced to 10 men five minutes later. Adian Manning saw red for a late challenge on the edge of the area.

From the resulting free-kick, Cole Deeming found the top corner to equalise.

The away side had a few half-chances, with Kev Mfuamba's strike from distance not doing enough to trouble Dan Barden.

And despite being a man down, Norwich would take the lead through Elliot Myles. The 17-year-old danced forward and picked out the bottom corner in brilliant fashion.

Three minutes later, the lead was increased. After some great wing-play, Aboh put the ball on a plate for Myles to add his second of the evening.

Aboh continued his fine form and claimed another assist, as he played through Ogwuru who finished confidently for the fourth goal.

And just after the hour mark, we had a fifth. Aboh involved once again, digging out a cross for Finley Welch who met the ball to score.

West Brom saw a penalty put over the crossbar, as they failed to pull a goal back.

Errol Mundle-Smith added the sixth of the evening, latching on to Aboh's ball forward and lifting it over the goalkeeper.
